WHAT DO THE TIRE SIZE MARKINGS MEAN?

The code on the tire sidewall tells more than just its size, so you can decide if the tire is a good fit for your car and performance needs. You can see the vehicle type, such as a passenger car, light truck, or trailers. You can also find out the tire width, its aspect ratio, structure type, optimal load and speed rating, and the wheel rim diameter.

On the license plate or on the sidewall of the tire, you can see the size designations of tires suitable for the car, of which there are several options. The size designation can be, for example, 205/55 R 16 94 V XL. Check out our simple guide to find out how exactly you can read your tire’s code.
