Nokian Tyres Outpost APT

I just put a set of these on my 2014 Honda CRV. I do not do Real off-roading, but wanted something for when I needed to do light offroad during deer season. I had them installed on 3/21/25, and we got a late March snow storm in NE wis. I was able to take them out in about 1.5' of heavy wet snow/slush, untracked on the road, at 45-50mph, it just plowed on thru it. No funny pulling to either side, stopping was just as good as the snow tires I had just removed. The following morning, all of the slush/hard pack was now frozen solid. Stopping was real good from mid 40's. part of my commute was on the hardpack, then black ice depending on how well the plows had cleared up the roads. At a reasonable speed for the conditions, the car felt solidly planted. The tires are heavier then the previous tires, so performance feels slightly less, and I have noticed a 1.5mpg hit at 75mph. (this is with a 2.4L 4 cyl.) But I am very happy with the tires so far.

Just installed a set of these on a 2010 Subaru Outback. Drove them on typical SE Michigan roads before the snow started. Was very happy in the rain and wet driving. Now that we got our first skip of stupid slippery snow I was very impressed. With cars searching for the ditches and guardrail at highway speeds, I cruised safely along with zero issues. Tried stopping quickly to see what they would do, and the abs barely kicked in before I came to a safe stop. Probably the best set of tires I’ve ever owned. So if you're thinking about getting these - I recommend them 100%.

I replaced my old Outposts with the new U.S. made Outposts. I had 42,000 miles on my old Outposts and they wore well but wanted a new set for winter; I was down to about 5/32 on them..my old Outpost were a bit noisy but the new Outposts seem to be much quieter. The October and November $80 rebates on the Outpost really helped me make the purchase.

Happy to be back again. I've used Nokian Tyres all weather tires on a number of cars since 2007 except for my Accent that I have now replaced with a Chevy Trailblazer. I got the dealer to install Outpost APT tires before I took delivery. OK about where I live currently: I live in Quebec Canada and before that I lived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. If you want bad weather that can go from bad winter weather to summer like in a matter of hours (lookup the word Chinook). Where you might get hail the size of golf balls and car dealers have "hail sales" because there are hail dents all over the cars and windshields were broken by the hail, try Calgary. Nokian Tyres all weather tires beat any tires I've ever used on any car I've ever used. I've recommended them to friends and family. No has ever been disappointed by their performance. In Quebec you are required, by law, to have winter tires by a certain date in December until a certain date in April. The causes enormous backups twice a year at any mechanic shop, dealer, or anyone who will change tires. Not to mention you need to store your alternate tires. What a mess. Anyway, Nokian Tyres all weather tires have both the traction and the tread life that works for any car. I had a Dodge Journey (company car - I wouldn't buy one) that I drove more than 80,000 Km in every imaginable kind of weather and on any kind of road. The tires still had great treads and could have gone for at least another 20 to 30 Thousand Km before needing to be changed. Try them - you'll never want anything other than all weather tires. Do not confuse them with all season. Some tire shops I've gone to refer to "all season" as "3 season".

I've been driving on a set of the Nokian Tyres Outpost APT through 2 Western Canadian winters and 2 summers of tough sledding. Vehicle is a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Outdoor. The Nokian Tyres Outpost APT is indeed an all-purpose CUV tire. Tire performance is very good on both dry and wet pavement; responsive to steering inputs with good turn-in; no hydroplaning in the wet and not too noisy. This tire shines on gravel roads; doesn't feel like you're driving on marbles and very little stone retention in the tread blocks or siping. This tire is also very capable in fresh snow, hard-packed snow and slush. On ice, vehicle control is very predictable, to the extent that the Crosstrek's VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) rarely engages. I've experienced "all-weather" tires from two other brands (Toyo and Yokohama) and both did not live up to their all-weather claims. The Nokian Tyres Outpost APT actually delivers on my expectations for a tire I can confidently run year 'round on any road surface. Highly recommended.

Acheté à l'automne 2023 pour un tucson hev, très satisfait de l'adhérence sur la neige et glace. C'est la première fois que j'achète des Nokian Tyres j'en suis très satisfait tant au niveau de l'adhérence que du bruit de roulement et très minime différence du km/100L. J'ai eu d'autres marques de pneus homologué installés sur des 4x4, les Nokian Tyres Outpost APT sont les meilleurs.

I have been through multiple terrains with this tire including dry, wet, dirt, mud, snow, and ice and I have had great traction provided by these tires. This is my second set of Nokian Tyres and I was very happy with the first one so I decided to try out this one. My mpg is running from 29-32 and I like how this tire is very smooth and quiet on the streets and highways.

Driven them on highway, gravel and fire roads and did great. I did not like how they handle on our first winter storm so I replaced them with a winter tire.
